This technology is built into the socket unlike the weak external supports on some competitor linkages. Unique “Reverse Pin” technology prevents our linkage from flopping or rocking.Large 1 ¼ inch rolled threads at tie rod adjuster and draglink ends provide significantly increased strength over the original equipment threads.Forged from medium carbon high hardenability steel and heat-treated for even greater buckling, impact, and fatigue strength.Forged from medium carbon high hardenability steel and heat-treated for greater buckling, impact, and fatigue strength.External threads are e-coated for durability and long-term serviceability.Powder coat over E-coat for a long-lasting appearance under harsh conditions. Our superior seals have been rigorously tested to minimize leakage between grease service intervals which greatly improves our ball joint reliability over our competition. High-quality seals ensure long ball joint life.Steel on steel bearings provide exceptional ball joint wear resistance and robustness.Induction heat-treated ball studs provide ultimate fatigue strength and superior off-road durability.Cold-headed medium carbon alloy steel ball studs provide incredible impact toughness for extreme duty usage.30mm 1 1/2 Ton ball joints designed specifically for the JL.Engineered for proper clearance to other chassis components to eliminate interferences. The YETI XD installs in just minutes and there is no need to modify or alter your Jeep.Ģ018+ JEEP WRANGLER JL/JT WRANGLER OR GLADIATOR RUBICON/MAX TOW/HIGH-ALTITUDE/4XE/MOJAVE/392 The YETI XD Tie Rod is a direct bolt-on for any JL Wrangler or Gladiator Rubicon/Max Tow/High-Altitude/4XE. Yeti steer smarts install#
So with a drag link, tie rod, sterling stabilizer, and front and rear adjustable track bars in hand, we took a few hours one day to install all these darn near bulletproof parts. EIther way, the Jeep needed some love in the steering and axle centering department before Eric and his family undertook a cross-country overlanding vacation in the new JKU. We're still not exactly sure how the previous owner of Eric's new-to-him 2018 Recon Rubicon JKU bent the generally unbendable tie rod, but somehow they did.

So when our buddy Eric bought a new and well-built JK for a family wheeler and daily driver, we knew just what to recommend when he noted that the JK's aftermarket aluminum tie rod was bent (truth is, he told us these are the parts he wanted, and we agreed). That system, the one on the UA CJ-6D, has stood the test of time with no issues whatsoever despite years of on- and heavy off-road use. That means well-engineered and strong parts that fit as they should. Steer Smarts doesn't skimp on the material, and rumor has it the parent company is a genuine OEM steering component manufacturer. When we installed these parts back in 2017 we were gob-smacked at the size and beef that you get with these steering parts.

Namely the Yeti XD Series JK tie rod and drag link system on our 2017 Ultimate Adventure Vehicle Build, the UA CJ-6D. We've used Yeti Steer Smarts steering parts before.
